BRIDGING CULTURE GAPS THROUGH ADAPTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS
This one to two-day course is designed to address communication issues that exist in both multicultural and multi-generational organizations. It examines the different cultural dimensions that exist in a work environment (Hofstede) brought about by the building blocks of personal and national culture, and how these affect understanding and productivity. Based on the Filipino context, the seminar opens an open and free-wheeling discussion of the intricacies and implications of Philippine values and how others perceive them from their own culture lenses to deepen the participants’ awareness of their behavior. In a multi-national setting, participants of various nationalities are able to understand their colleagues better and communicate with them more effectively. Effective and adaptive communication skills are presented as solutions, explained and then practiced through cases and application activities.
