Understand why competencies are important to high performing organizations (HPOs) and why a competency model is key ingredient in an effective selection decision making process;
Develop competencies required in conducting a competency based interview process, assessing the presence and absence of competencies demonstrated and to recognized different levels of competencies;
Work and be familiar with a set of competency based interview questions and through this, develop capability to adapt to existing or develop new questions as required;
Establish some common standards in terms of assessing and rating a candidate's levels of competencies versus those requiredof the job;
Prepare own competency based Interviewing Took Kit when interviewing for candidates.
Methodology:
Workshop approach will be used extensively with lecturettes and actual case studies to clarify some points making use of the vast learning experiences of the participants. Pre-work readings and assignments are necessary to maximize learning.
